Bought a $90 sharpening stone kit after my clipper blades kept pulling.

I was getting complaints about tugging, especially on thick hair, and it was slowing me down. The kit came with three different grits and a guide. After watching a few videos, I spent an hour bringing my old blades back to life. The difference is night and day, and I'm not sending blades out for sharpening anymore. Has anyone else found a good method for keeping their shears sharp at the station?

I mean, sending them out is fine if it works for you, but what do you do when a blade goes dull mid-day on a Saturday? I had that happen once and it wrecked my whole flow. Do you just keep a whole extra set of shears ready to go, or do you have a backup plan?

Wait, how is sending them out more reliable? I've had blades come back worse than I sent them, and then you're stuck waiting. Having the stone means I can fix a bad edge right away, which feels way more dependable to me.

Ugh, that sounds like a huge waste of time. I just send mine out, it's way more reliable. I'd rather be cutting hair than playing with stones.
