Client told me my fades looked "dusty" - changed my clipper technique completely
A guy in his 60s sat in my chair last week and said my fades had too much "dust" on the edges, so I stopped using the corner of my clipper and started going straight in with the lever open. Anyone else get that kind of direct feedback that forced you to rework your whole approach?

Wait are we really acting like dusty fades are a whole technique problem and not just a quick detail pass fix?

Ever notice how barbers always blame the tool but never the hand?

My cousin is a mechanic and he does the same thing with his tools. Swears up and down his torque wrench is off by a hair when his engine jobs come out crooked. Last time I saw him he was blaming his socket set for stripping a bolt, but the socket was fine, he just had it at a bad angle. People don't like to admit when they're the one making the mistake, it's easier to point at the tool.
