Hit my 500th haircut last week and it snuck up on me

I started keeping a tally in my notebook back in March just to see how many heads I'd do in a year, and I hit 500 on a random Tuesday afternoon. Kid was getting a buzz cut and I finished up, looked at my notebook, and realized I'd crossed that milestone without even noticing. Any of you guys keep count or just let it ride and lose track?

500 is no joke, man. I stopped counting around 300 because my tallies started getting sloppy and I’d lose a day or two here and there. It’s weird how a kid getting a simple buzz cut can be the one that puts you over the top, feels almost anticlimactic. I’m glad you caught it though, that’s a solid mark for sure.

You ever have one of those moments where you totally space on something important? My buddy was tracking his streak for a whole year, same kind of thing you're doing, and he hit his big number on a random Tuesday. No fanfare, no special kid, just a regular trim he'd done a hundred times before. He told me it felt so weird to finally cross that line and have nobody around to even care. Like, he'd been building up to this milestone in his head for months, and then it just kinda happened. He took a photo of his little tally sheet that night just to prove to himself it was real.
