Just compared my old shear sharpening to a new service and the difference is huge

I used to send my shears to a local guy who took about two weeks and charged 25 bucks... the edges were okay but never really like new. Last month I tried a mail-in service called 'Edge Pro' that got them back in 5 days for 40 dollars. The cut is so much cleaner now, especially on wet hair, and my hand doesn't get tired halfway through a busy day. It's worth the extra cost and wait time for how much better the tool performs. Has anyone else found a sharpener that actually makes your shears feel brand new again?

Sharpening them with a brick" is exactly how my old guy felt. You finally found someone who gets it.

My local guy must have been sharpening them with a brick. I mean, five days for a real edge sounds like a dream.
