Switched from thinning shears to a texturizing razor for men's scissor cuts about 6 months ago and haven't looked back since

I used to reach for my thinning shears on every medium-length crop, but after a client complained about too much bulk left behind around the crown, I grabbed a Feather razor and now I get way softer blends in half the time - has anyone else made the switch and found it works better for certain hair types?

After a client complained about too much bulk left behind around the crown" - that part got me thinking. Most guys worry about the razor removing too much hair, but your problem was the opposite. I actually went the other way last year, started using thinning shears again for guys with really fine or thin hair. The razor can make that hair look wispy and sad real fast if you're not careful. Shears give you a little more forgiveness when the hair is already delicate. Different tools for different jobs and all that.

Try the razor on thick curly hair, melts through bulk way faster than shears.
