That $400 clipper set I bought in 2018 still haunts me
Back when I first started cutting at home, I watched like 20 YouTube videos and thought I needed the fanciest cordless clippers money could buy. Dropped $400 on a set with like 8 guards and a fancy charger, figured it would pay for itself in two haircuts. Turns out my hair is SUPER fine and that heavy motor just yanks at it, plus the battery died after 18 months and the replacement cost $90. My buddy over in Austin cuts his whole family's hair with a $35 wired Wahl from the drugstore and it works BETTER. Anyone else get burned by expensive gear early on, or am I the only sucker?

Is that $400 set still "haunting" you, or is it more like a ghost that keeps STEALING your hair instead of cutting it? Man, I feel your pain, and I'm pretty sure half the people on this forum got suckered the same way at some point. I did the exact same thing with a fancy drill once, thought I was a pro, and it just sat there looking pretty while my $20 backup did all the work. The drugstore Wahl is the real MVP, those things just keep going and don't care about your fine hair or your feelings. Honestly, you didn't buy a clipper set, you bought a very expensive lesson about marketing.
