Tried a new texturizing technique from a YouTube tutorial and got a result that looked like a startled hedgehog.
The client asked for 'beach waves' but after using that razor-over-comb method, his hair just stood straight up in little tufts for about 20 minutes. Anyone have a better way to add texture to really fine, straight hair?

Remember that time I tried to give myself curtain bangs with fabric scissors. Watched one five minute video and went for it. Ended up with these weird, jagged pieces that hit my cheekbone. My mom took one look and just said "oh honey" in that voice. Had to wear a lot of headbands that summer.

Ugh I feel that! I just kept trimming mine a tiny bit each week until they finally grew out even.
