Appreciation post: my 2008 Creative Zen Stone hit 3,000 songs on one charge

I got this little 1GB MP3 player from a junk bin back in 2019 for $4, and last week it crossed 3,000 total songs played since I started keeping a rough count in a notebook. The battery still lasts about 9 hours, which beats my phone when I am doing yard work all Saturday. What surprised me was the number itself, 3,000 felt like a lot for something the size of a poker chip with no screen at all. I load songs by dragging files on Windows 7 running on an old netbook in the garage, which is a pain but also kind of fun. Anyone else still carrying a dedicated player instead of their phone, and does yours actually outlast a full work day outside?
