When my $200 Samsung player died after about 14 months back in 2019, I grabbed a $15 DVD player from the Dollar General in Dayton just to get through a weekend. It has been sitting under my TV for 5 years now and still reads every scratched disc I throw at it, even the burned ones. I get why people say cheap stuff is a waste, but two dead name brand players later, I am not buying the fancy one again. What is the cheapest gadget in your house that refuses to die?
