Took me 3 hours to figure out why my 2007 iPod wouldn't sync to my laptop
I dug out my old 30GB iPod Classic from a drawer in my parents' house in Rochester and spent 3 hours trying to get it to sync to my laptop before realizing the old 30-pin cable was shot and a $4 replacement did the trick. I kept blaming drivers and firmware when it was just a frayed wire the whole time. Has anyone else had a simple cable swap save you from a total meltdown like that?
