My cousin swore wrapping brisket in foil after 4 hours was a crime, but my last one was dry as a bone.

Tried his 'no wrap' method on a 14-pounder from Costco and it came out perfect. Anyone else have a family member who gave you BBQ advice that actually worked?

My uncle was the same way about ribs, swore you had to boil them first. Tried his dry rub and slow smoke method last summer and it was a total game changer. Sometimes those old family rules are just habits, not laws. Glad the no wrap method worked out for you, a dry brisket is such a heartbreaker.

I used to wrap mine too until I tried it this way.
