Now I'm wondering if a deflector plate is the real answer or if I just got lucky with a cheap piece of metal in the wrong spot. Anyone run into a hot spot that a mod actually fixed instead of just moving it around?
Did you ever notice how most quick fixes just push a problem somewhere else instead of solving it? Same thing happens with a leaky roof, you slap some tar on it and the water just finds a new spot to come in. A cheap steel plate might spread the heat around, but it could also just be masking the real issue with your airflow.
