My old camcorder got way better dust footage after I learned one dumb trick with a flashlight
Back in 2019 I was filming in this abandoned hospital in Gary, Indiana and kept getting nothing but static on my Sony Handycam. Then some guy on a forum told me to hold a flashlight off to the side of the lens, and all of a sudden every speck of dust in the air lit up like snow. Same camera, same spot, totally different footage. Now I'm wondering how much stuff I missed on my other tapes because the lighting was too flat.
