STOP trusting the label on thrift store tapes, I popped one in from a Goodwill in Dayton and got 40 minutes of a guy just mowing his lawn
I see folks in here posting tapes they found with titles like 'Family Reunion 1994' and getting mad when the tape turns out to be something totally random. That label is almost never right. Last month I grabbed a VHS at a Goodwill in Dayton, Ohio for 50 cents, label said 'Christmas 1991' in marker, and it was 40 minutes of some guy mowing his lawn with zero sound and one clip of him waving at the camera. A friend who deals tapes told me people used to record over stuff all the time and just never bothered to relabel the sticker. So when you find a tape, watch the whole thing before you post it, because the best stuff is usually buried at the 20 or 30 minute mark. What is the weirdest thing you guys have found hiding behind a wrong label?
