Found a browser trick that cut my load times by half on this old laptop
My 2015 ThinkPad was crawling on any site with images, so I tried disabling auto-play and preloading in the settings, took 10 minutes total. Has anyone else tweaked browser flags and seen a real difference, or am I just lucky?

Turning off image lazy loading did the trick for my old laptop, pages just pop now.
