Just spent 20 minutes comparing my old portfolio site screenshots side by side with the new one I built last month

Switched from a dark background to white space and suddenly every project pops way more than it did before, has anyone else noticed how much a simple color change can make or break a layout?

Are you sure it's not just that you're more used to seeing it now? I've switched color schemes and regretted it a few weeks later when the novelty wore off (and the eye strain kicked in).
