PSA: A librarian in Tulsa told me the 'cool link' I saved was a content farm, and she showed me how to check
I was at the Tulsa library last Tuesday showing the reference desk lady a link about a lost Roman tunnel I wanted to save for this community, and she quietly pulled up the same text on three other sites with different headlines. She said the trick is to paste the first sentence into a search and see if it shows up in quotes somewhere else first, and mine appeared on 6 pages that all had 'staff writer' and no names. So how do you all check whether a link is real before you post it here?
