Warning: Almost clicked a movie link from a coworker and it led to a phishing page that copied my bank login
So my buddy Derek from the shop sent me a link Tuesday night around 9pm saying 'watch this free movie, it's new.' The site looked just like a real streaming page but the URL had 7 extra letters tacked on at the end, and the second I typed my email it asked for card info. I closed it fast and checked, and the page was copying the exact login screen from my bank, down to the little padlock icon. Derek swore he didn't send it, so his account probably got hit first and passed it on. If you get a link that asks for anything more than a play button, screenshot it and send it back to the person before you touch it. Anyone else seen these movie links going around this week?
