Was at a bookstore in Ann Arbor and the 1985 'Best Links' page from a local paper made me laugh
I drove to Ann Arbor last weekend and popped into a used bookstore on Liberty Street, where I found a 1985 issue of a local paper with a handwritten "Best Links of the Week" column by some guy named Dale. Dale's top link was "the card catalog at the public library on Fifth" and his second was "a phone number for a guy who knows about ducks." It got me thinking about how we used to pass around links on paper, so what's the oldest place you've ever found a printed list of recommendations?
