Can we talk about how I defended a broken drum machine loop for two months before my friend played it back slow
So I found this old cassette at a garage sale in Fresno for a quarter and the beat on it was this wobbly kick that skipped every fourth hit and I swore it was on purpose, like some genius lo-fi groove. I played it for everybody and told them the timing was the whole point. Then my buddy Marcus slowed it down on his laptop and you could hear the guy cough and say "hold on" right before the drums came back in wrong. Two months of me calling it art and it was just a dude who couldn't work his machine. What's your worst one of these, where you defended something until somebody ruined it for you?
