Can we talk about how my nephew called my favorite "bad" song a masterpiece and now I can't stop listening to it
My 19 year old nephew sat with me in the kitchen in Rochester last weekend and I played him "I Wanna Be a Cowboy" by Boys Don't Cry as a joke. He listened all the way through instead of laughing and then just goes "this drum fill is actually great, why do you hate fun." I bought that 7 inch at a flea market near Buffalo in 1996 and for almost 30 years it's been my go to tune for making people cringe. Now I hear it differently and I've played it 4 times this week without irony. What songs did you write off as garbage that someone younger made you take seriously?
