Dropped $30 at a Columbus yard sale on a Casiotone MT-40 with a dead key, and that broken key is the best part
Everyone says you need to fix dead keys, but the off key note on mine turned a boring demo loop into the weirdest hook I have ever recorded. Anyone else got a busted key or stuck button that actually made the track better?

Read a thing once where a guy said Prince's busted drum machine gave him that gritty sound on a whole record. Broken gear forces you to play around it, and that workaround becomes the style. That dead key is not a flaw, it is your sound now.
