Found a song with 47 tempo changes and no chorus - somehow it slaps
I was digging through old garage band files from 2019 last night and found this track my buddy made on a cracked copy of FL Studio. The beat switches from a wonky 808 loop to what sounds like a dying car alarm every 10 seconds. No chorus at all, just 3 minutes of random vocal samples about his ex. I've had it on repeat for 2 days now and I can't stop laughing at how terrible it is. Anyone else got a hidden gem from a friend's bad production phase?

Did you ever try throwing that beat into a sampler and chopping it up? I did something similar with a buddy's trainwreck of a track and it turned into this weirdly good loop for a local show. That chaotic energy can be gold if you lean into it instead of trying to fix it.

What bitrate or resolution did you sample at on that? I found if you go too low on a chaotic track you lose the transients that make those random hits land right. Had a similar thing with a cassette 4-track recording I mangled - had to keep it at 16-bit 44.1k or the snare just turned to mush.
