My nephew's dollar store keyboard broke mid recording and the wrong notes became the best part of the track
My nephew got a $12 keyboard from a dollar store in Reno for his birthday and we hooked it up to a free app on my laptop to mess around. Last Saturday the middle C key just stopped working, like dead, no sound at all. He started smashing random keys to be funny and it made this super weird off beat loop that sounded like a broken robot singing. I recorded about 4 minutes of it on my phone and now I can't stop listening to the mess. The dead key forced him to play around it and that turned into the whole vibe. Has anyone else had a piece of gear die on them and accidentally make the song better?
