Unpopular opinion: a busted cassette copy of a wedding DJ's mixtape beats every smooth jazz playlist
My cousin gave me a tape from her 1994 reception in Dayton and the DJ clearly hit the wrong button on his drum machine for half of it. The bass line keeps sliding off key during what should be a slow song, and there's a part where he says "here we go" like 4 times in a row before the beat even drops. I played it at a cookout over the weekend and everybody lost it laughing, and honestly it got more people dancing than any clean playlist would. Does anyone know if there's a whole tape scene of these wedding DJ mess ups or is my cousin's tape a one of a kind?
