Unpopular opinion: that off key sax solo in my uncle's wedding band demo is the best part

My uncle gave me a burned CD of his old band from 1991, recorded at a VFW hall in Gary, Indiana, and the sax player comes in a half step off for a solid 40 seconds. I used to skip past it, but now I replay that part like three times in a row because the wrongness kind of makes the whole song. Is there a term for when a mistake becomes the hook, or do I just have bad taste?
