Appreciation post for Park Tool's gear puller that saved my bacon last month

After wrestling with a stuck bottom bracket cup on a 2008 Fuji Roubaix for two hours I finally caved and bought the BBT-9 and it popped off in 30 seconds flat, has anyone else had a tool that made you question why you didn't buy it sooner?

Man, that feeling when you finally cave and buy the right tool is the best and worst at the same time. Had a similar moment with a cheap cassette lockring tool that stripped out on me. Finally got the Park Tool version and it was like night and day, the thing just bit right in. Your mileage may vary, but sometimes spending the money once is cheaper than the frustration of fighting a stuck part.

Oh man, is there anything more satisfying than spending 40 bucks on a tool you swore you'd never buy because the 8 dollar one 'works fine' until it doesn't? I feel your pain on that lockring tool strip, nothing makes you feel like a genius than watching a cheap tool turn into a useless lump of metal while your cassette just laughs at you. I did the same thing with a bottom bracket tool, went through three of the cheap ones before I finally gave in and got the Park. Now I just stare at it in my toolbox like it's a trophy of my own stubbornness. But hey, at least now you've got a nice paperweight from the old one, right? Idk, maybe it's just me but I think the extra cost is really just paying for the therapy of not having to swear at your bike for an hour.
