Cable ferrule trick saved my brake bleed this afternoon
I was fighting a mushy rear brake on a customer's gravel bike for 45 minutes, then I stuck a tiny cable ferrule over the bleed port before attaching the syringe. It sealed just enough to get a solid bleed with no mess. Has anyone else got a odd shop hack like that that just works?

Was the ferrule just a tight fit over the port, or did you have to wedge it in there? I'm trying to picture the seal working without fluid backing up around it. I've used a cut piece of old housing for similar stuff, but never thought about ferrules for bleed ports.
