Guy at the shop in Reno said you can eyeball spoke tension by ear, and I watched him true a wheel that way in 10 minutes
I told him that was nonsense until he handed me the wheel and every plucked spoke rang the same note, so now I want to know if any of you actually tune wheels by sound or if he was just showing off.
