Heard a guy at the co-op say 'grease is grease' yesterday
Blew my mind that people still think that. Took me three blown hubs back in 2012 to learn the difference between marine grease and regular park stuff. What's the worst failure you've seen from using the wrong lube?

Three blown hubs is a hard way to learn that lesson, I feel your pain. Wrong lube on a tractor PTO joint almost cost me a full season after it froze up solid in the rain. Marine grease is the only thing that holds up when water and grit get mixed in, plain park stuff just washes right out.
