My shop in Springfield had to pick between a $4000 ultrasonic cleaner or a new workbench setup
We went with the bench and a big parts washer, and it's way better for our daily flow of greasy bottom brackets. Anyone else skip a big-ticket tool for something more basic that just works better?

Honestly, my shop almost fell for the fancy tool trap too. We nearly bought this automatic spoke cutter that looked like a spaceship, but the old hand tool is just faster, you know?

Our shop in Toledo passed on a $2500 tire machine last year. Got a heavy-duty bead breaker and a set of manual levers instead. For the volume we do, it's actually faster and we're not fighting finicky electronics. That fancy machine would have been a paperweight half the time.

Passed on a hydraulic press once for a simple arbor press and a good set of bearing drivers. Saved a ton of space and gets the job done just as quick.
