Overheard a customer bragging about a brake bleed hack that could kill someone

Was in the shop waiting on parts yesterday and some guy tells his buddy he uses lighter fluid to flush hydraulic brakes because it dries fast. Told him straight up that will eat the seals and ruin the caliper, plus the flash point is no joke near a heat source. He shrugged and said it worked fine on his cheap bike. Has anyone else run into customers doing reckless stuff like this, and how do you actually get through to them without sounding like a jerk?
