PSA: watch your bleed block on Shimano brakes, I nearly wrecked a customer's caliper
Last Tuesday I had three brake bleeds stacked back to back and got sloppy on the second one. I left the old fluid in the syringe, pushed the block in crooked, and popped a piston seal on an XT caliper. That one mistake cost me 45 minutes and a $60 rebuild kit out of my own pocket. The owner was cool about it but I felt like a rookie at 15 years in. Now I check the block seating twice before I touch the lever, and you should too. Any of you got a trick for keeping the block square when you're rushing?
