Snapped a Shimano 105 derailleur hanger on a test ride yesterday
Took a customer's bike out for a quick spin around the block near my shop in Portland and the shifting felt off. Pulled over to check it and the hanger just gave way with barely any pressure. Luckily I had a spare Wolf Tooth hanger in stock that fit, got it swapped in 10 minutes. Anyone else keep running into these newer hangers being way too fragile?

Stock up on Wolf Tooth hangers if you can, they hold up way better. @hollym12 I hear you, it's like Shimano skimped on the metal lately. Check the frame alignment too when you swap it - sometimes a slightly bent dropout eats the hanger faster. I keep a couple spares in my toolbox now after getting burned on a Sunday ride with no backup.

Yeah, I've had two of those snap on me this year alone! Feels like the newer 105 hangers are made of cheese, Wolf Tooth is the way to go for sure.
