Went to a shop in Portland and nobody uses Park Tool anymore

Stopped by a co-op in Portland last month and every mechanic there was using Pedro's or some random no-name brand tools. The guy said Park got too expensive for stuff that breaks just as fast. Anyone else seeing shops move away from the big brands?

Was always a Park loyalist but honestly you're making me rethink that.

Switched to a diff brand a few months back when my old one kept glitching on me. Was night and day how much smoother everything ran after that. Sometimes you just gotta try something else to see what you were missing.
