Burned $40 on a show that got canceled after one season
I started watching this crime drama on Prime called something like 'Dark Harbor' or 'Shadow Coast' last week. Got 6 episodes in, really into the story, then went to see when season 2 drops. Turns out they canceled it after season 1 with a cliffhanger ending. 8 hours of my life gone and now I'll never know who killed that detective. Has anyone else fallen for a one-season wonder like that?

Just read an article about how streaming services cancel way more shows than traditional networks used to. They called it "content churn" where they make a ton of stuff just to get subscribers, then drop anything that isn't a huge hit. It's so frustrating as a viewer. I got burned by that show "The Society" on Netflix years ago and I'm still mad about it. Makes me not want to start anything new until it has at least three seasons.

Totally agree about the content churn problem. It feels like they're just throwing shows at the wall to see what sticks, which treats viewers like test subjects. I'm starting to wait for a full series wrap-up before I even click play anymore.
