I gave a show I hated a second chance and it completely changed my mind
I watched the first episode of 'Severance' when it came out and turned it off after 20 minutes because it felt too slow. A friend kept telling me to try again, so I gave it another shot last weekend and watched three episodes straight. The slow start is a setup for a really wild story that gets going fast. I learned that some shows need more than one episode to show you what they are about. Has anyone else had a show they disliked at first turn into a favorite after a few more tries?

Wild story" is a stretch, it's still just people in an office. But yeah, the third episode does pick up.

Wait, did you catch the part in episode 3 where the assistant manager moves into that tiny office with no windows? That is wild to me. I don't care what anyone says. That room has no natural light and the desk faces the wall. It is basically a hostile work situation on purpose. And the way everyone just pretends it is normal is even crazier. Reminds me of some real places I've worked at where they try to break you down slowly. Like the layout is literally a weapon in that show.

True, but the way they use the office layout to show power dynamics is low-key genius lol
