I thought 'The Bear' was just another kitchen drama until I watched the whole first season in a single night.

The sheer stress of that one-take episode in season 2, 'Fishes', completely rewired my brain about what TV can do, so has anyone else had a show they wrote off only to get totally hooked?

Oh man, @beth_hunt, wasn't it how the camera just never let you breathe? That constant movement made the family chaos feel so real and trapped.

The first 10 minutes of 'Fishes' had me literally gripping my couch cushion. @evayoung you're totally right about that trapped feeling, the way the camera bounces around the table makes you feel like you're stuck in that kitchen with them. I had a similar thing with 'Succession' where I wrote it off as just rich people yelling, but once I got to the boar on the floor episode I was completely in. Sometimes you just need that one wild episode to click with the characters and the chaos.

What was it about that one take episode that made it click for you? I know the stress was real but was it the acting or the way it was shot that got you? I tried to get into that show a while back but maybe I need to give it another shot.
