I watched 14 seasons of a show in 3 weeks before I figured out I was doing it wrong
For years I thought binging meant watching every episode in order, credits and all. Then during a rewatch of The Office at 2am I realized I was on season 6 and had no idea what happened in half the episodes. Turns out I was just letting it play while scrolling on my phone. The show wasn't the problem, I was half watching everything and calling it a binge. Now I pick one show, put the phone in another room, and actually watch 3 or 4 episodes a night. Does anyone else track how much they actually pay attention when they binge, or is it just me?
Man, this is the same thing as people who "read" books but can't remember a single chapter. Half paying attention to stuff is basically the default now and nobody wants to admit it.
