My buddy said I watch shows too fast... like I'm just checking boxes. He told me to try 'The Bear' with a one episode per day limit. It changed the whole thing for me.

My friend did this with Severance and said the weekly cliffhangers made the show feel like an event again.

Nah I gotta disagree with @diana87 on this one. Forcing a limit just makes it feel like a chore, like I'm being punished for liking a show. Binging lets me stay in that world, you know? When I'm really into something I want to live in it for hours, not get yanked out after 30 minutes. That settling thing she mentioned, I get more of that from marathoning because I can actually track character arcs and details across episodes. Different strokes for different folks I guess but limiting myself feels like putting a speed bump on my enjoyment.

Yeah, I had to do the same thing. Binging makes everything feel like background noise. Limiting myself to one episode forced me to actually sit with what happened, like letting a good meal settle. It's crazy how much more you pick up on when you're not rushing to the next thing. Your buddy gave you solid advice.
