My friend said my binge watching style was 'aggressive' and it made me change my whole approach
I was powering through a new show, doing like 8 episodes a night, and my buddy flat out said, "You're not even enjoying it, you're just trying to conquer it." That hit me because I realized I couldn't even remember the main character's name from the last season. Now I force myself to stop after two episodes max, even if I want to keep going. It's way more fun when you actually absorb the plot. Anyone else get called out for their viewing habits?

Nah, I'm with your friend. That's the whole point of a good show, to get lost in it for hours. Stopping after two episodes is like only eating one chip.

Hold up, you can totally ruin a show by binging it. I tried to watch that new detective series all in one night and the twists just blurred together. By the end I was just numb and couldn't even remember who the killer was. Letting an episode sit for a day lets you actually think about it and get excited for more. What's the rush?

Okay, "like only eating one chip" is the most wild defense of binge watching I've ever heard. If I only ate one chip, I would remember how it tasted. If I eat the whole bag in one go, I just feel sick and can't tell you what flavor they were. Your friend was right, you were treating that show like a chore to finish, not a story to enjoy. Forcing a stop is smart, it builds the fun back up.
