That hyped crime drama fell apart halfway through season 2
Started watching The Blacklist based on everyone's rave reviews, but by episode 12 of season 2 I couldn't handle how every episode was basically the same formula. Has anyone else dropped a "binge worthy" show halfway through because the writing got lazy?

Feel that honestly. Binge worthy or not if the writing gets lazy I'm out too, no point wasting more hours on autopilot plots.

Is it really that bad though if the show still hooks you even when the plot gets predictable? I mean, sometimes comfort watching is exactly what I want after a long day, not something that makes me think too hard. Plenty of people binge the same simple storylines over and over and still love them. Maybe we put too much pressure on every show to be some brilliant masterpiece when half the time we're just half-watching on our phones anyway.
