That podcast about 'The Leftovers' made me rewatch it different

I was driving back from Denver last weekend and caught this random interview with one of the writers from 'The Leftovers'. He mentioned how the show was designed to be watched in pairs of episodes, not all at once, because the emotional beats land harder when you let them sit overnight. I always binged it in one sitting, but after hearing that, I tried a rewatch with just two episodes a night. Man, it hit way different. The slow dread and the small character moments stuck with me longer. Has anyone else tried pacing a show on purpose like that, or do you always just plow through? I am curious if other shows have a hidden intended rhythm like that too.

Binge everything myself, so I get it. But pacing a show, or even a book, is like stretching out a steak dinner instead of wolfing it down. The flavor hits different when you're not full yet. It's the same with life, you know? Slow down on a routine drive or a good conversation and you notice stuff you'd blow past otherwise. Maybe the show's rhythm is just a reminder that some things are built to breathe.

You're right, that steak dinner comparison really lands with me. Hope you find the pacing that works for you, enjoy the little moments along the way.
