The motel clerk in Tucumcari handed me a list of 5 shows and I actually started one
I was stuck in Tucumcari, New Mexico for two nights last month waiting on a part for my truck, and the clerk at the front desk had a little notebook of shows she recommends to guests. She pointed at one called Detectorists and said her husband fell asleep to it every night for a year. I laughed and started it at like 9pm, then looked up and it was 3 in the morning and I was on episode 5. It's this quiet British show about two guys who just dig for treasure in a field, no drama really, and somehow I could not stop. What's a show you tried on a total whim and ended up watching half the season in one sitting?
