TIL: A waitress at a diner in Tucson told me about a show with 6 episodes that I finished in one night
Last month I was on a road trip and stopped at a diner outside Tucson around 11pm. The waitress saw me scrolling my phone and said I looked like someone who needed a good show. She wrote down a name on my receipt and said it was 6 episodes and she watched it all in one sitting after a double shift. I started it that night in my motel room and finished all 6 before 4am. It was a small British mystery and I was hooked from the first 10 minutes. I have never taken a rec from a stranger like that before. What is the shortest show you ever binged in one night?

Wait, a waitress at 11pm just hands you a show like it's some kind of secret mission? And you actually started it at a motel after driving all day? Six episodes in one night after being on the road sounds brutal, I would've passed out 20 minutes in. The fact that some random person's rec actually landed and you were hooked in 10 minutes is wild to me, most of the stuff people tell me to watch I never end up finishing. Did you ever go back and tell her you watched it, or is she just out there somewhere never knowing she nailed it?
