Unpopular opinion: Breaking Bad is overrated as a binge show
I used to binge one show per month like clockwork. Now I skip around way more. That changed about 2 years ago when I forced myself through Breaking Bad in 10 days. Everyone hyped it as the ultimate binge watch. But I found it dragged hard in seasons 2 and 3. Too many slow episodes about nothing. I prefer shorter series now, like 8 episodes max. Am I the only one who thinks longer prestige shows aren't built for binging?

Think about how everything is like that now. People cram 60 hour work weeks and then try to cram a 60 hour show into a weekend and wonder why it feels hollow. Breaking Bad was made for weekly water cooler talk, not for watching three episodes before breakfast. That's why the slow parts feel like quicksand when you're binge watching. You lose the tension that made people talk about it for days back in 2010. Short series are just a better fit for how we live now, always wanting the next hit without any buildup.

Right? Breaking Bad was a slog for me too. I binged it cause everyone said it was the best and ended up skipping through half of season 3. Way too much filler for a show that hyped.
