Serious question: should you sort bookmarks by folder or just let them pile up in one list?
I used to spend hours organizing bookmarks into neat folders but found I never actually used them... then after a browser crash last month, I just dumped everything into one big unsorted list and now I actually find stuff faster. Which way do you think works better for weird random finds, a strict system or total chaos?

one big list with a couple tags" is basically how I organize my whole life now lol. It's like the more you try to force things into perfect categories, the more stuff just ends up in a pile anyway. My closet used to have this entire color coded system but now everything's just "kinda on the floor near the bed" which is faster ngl.

3 years I kept a strict folder system with different categories for recipes, coding stuff, funny videos, etc. The problem was a lot of my good finds didn't fit neatly into any one category. Like a blog post about urban foraging could go in food, outdoors, or random interesting reads. So every time I saved something I had to make a judgment call and most of the time I just abandoned it in the default folder anyway. Now I use one big list with a couple tags in the bookmark name instead. "Urban foraging maybe blog cool" tells me way more than burying it in a folder called "Miscellaneous" ever did. The search function works way better when you just let things be messy.
