A visitor at my shop asked why I still use a coal forge, and it got me thinking

He said he figured everyone was running propane by now, and when I told him coal gives me better heat control on odd-shaped pieces, he just nodded quiet, but that conversation made me realize I've been defaulting to propane for small jobs out of habit, not because it's actually better, so have any of you switched back to an older setup after going modern?
