Can we talk about going with a coal forge over gas for my first setup?
I picked up a used rivet forge for $180 at a farm auction near Ames last month instead of dropping $600 on a propane kit, and I'm still figuring out fire management but the coal really does let me read the heat better. Anybody here start on coal and switch to gas later, or did you stick with it?
