Hit 500 tongs this month, my anvil took the win personally

I keep a tally on my workshop wall, just chalk marks every time I finish a pair. Last Tuesday I counted 500 since I started in Columbus back in 2019, and I swear my anvil has a few new dings from me getting sloppy on the last 10. What surprised me is that 500 is way more than I sold, maybe 80 percent of those went to family and friends who just wanted a bent piece of steel. It made me think about how many beginner forgings I actually keep versus give away, so what's your highest count on a single tool before you lost track?
